  1. Hello All! I graduated in May 2011 with a B.S. in Psychology and LOVE this field. I am so passionate about helping others with disorders, marriage/family problems, etc and I know that this is the right career path for me. Here's the thing, I am interested in research and wouldn't mind doing it. Before majoring in Psychology, I was a Biology/Pre- Pharmacy major. Another student and I did research for a Pharmacologist and it was very interesting I must say. I presented a poster at a national conference and have a published article as well. I worked as a Pharmacy tech, and needless to say I didn't like the job all that much so I switched my major to Psychology and excelled at it with the exception of a couple of classes. I got an A in stats but a C in Methods for Psychological Inquiry. My psychology gpa is a 3.25 and overall is 3.2 I believe and I'm actually currently volunteering in a clinical setting with School Psychologists. I will be taking the GRE late August and in November if I need to. I was actively involved in three organizations and had several leadership roles and I am a member of Psi Chi National Honor Society. My question is, do I have a chance at getting into either the MFT or MA Psychology programs? Which one would be better to get into to prepare myself for Ph D or Psy D in Clinical Psych? I'm looking into Pepperdine for one because it's a Christian University and two it's a highly reputable university and possesses strong values.
