  1. Sounds good, did you think that the real test was about the same difficulty as the powerprep tests?
  2. I just finished the first Powerprep practice test and I scored really high on the quantitative sections getting only 3 answers wrong (166Q), so I was wondering if these practice tests actually reflect the potential scores that would get in the real deal? Is the real exam harder than the Powerprep tests?
  3. In a few days I'll be doing my GRE and to be honest I'm not feeling confident about the Verbal section (expecting some mediocre score), so I was wondering if verbal scores matter in the Applied sciences and Mathematics? I've read some CS grad requirements mentioning minimum Quant and Analytical Writing scores, but I've never read anything about verbal.
  4. I just registered for the GRE and I didn't have any section asking me for universities' information to send the scores. I read that you have to write them right after you finish the exam.. How does this work? Do I have to remember all the codes for test day?
  5. I sent them recently and applications start in October, so I guess I probably shouldn't worry much?
  6. I contacted some profs to check if they were accepting students for their research groups and introduced some of my background because I want to apply to a Masters in CS program, but profs haven't replied. Should I apply to the university anyways even if no professors replied to my emails?
  7. If I want to apply for the Fall 2013 term, when should I start contacting profs?
  8. Hi all, I'm interested on pursuing a masters degree at a Canadian University, but have no previous research experience and I'm wondering if that could affect my chances of getting admitted. I already have my topics of interest defined. I haven't done my GRE and TOEFL tests yet, but I'm hoping to do well on both of them, I also have a good GPA. My biggest aspiration would be the University of Waterloo, but I would try to go for some lower ranked universities like the University of Alberta. Do universities accept (prospective Masters) students without previous research experience?
