Does the reputation of the Pharma/Biotech company that you work for matter when you apply for another position in the sciences or quality departments? Specifically, if you work for a company that doesn't have a great reputation, will that hurt your chances of getting hired elsewhere? I have been offered a position (no other offers yet) and am wondering if, because I just graduated and this is my first industry position, working for a company with a not so stellar reputation will kill my chances of being hired at other companies in the years to come? What is the typical amount of vacation days I can expect in the Biotech/Pharma industry? Is the 180 day trial period where new employees can't take any vacation days for the first 180 calendar days common? I was told that I need to take an exam before I can become a TA. It's based on Biology 101, ecology, genetics, molecular and cellular material. Has anyone else had to take an exam? Was it actually hard or did you get questions that would be given to freshmen? Does anyone have an old copy of their old TA exam that I could start to refresh on? Thank you!
