  1. If I'm not hearing back from the student services manager, is it appropriate for me to contact someone else like the registrar/director of graduate admissions? I don't know what the issue is, but I've received no response to my 3 emails / 1 call, but I really need to know UNC's decision before I commit elsewhere.
  2. No call back from Veronica yesterday or today after I left a message, so I sent another email. I am, to be honest, extremely frustrated at the lack of communication here. Berkeley, Penn, and Columbia all got back to me within 24 hours of a message during the application cycle. We pay money to have our applications handled in a proper manner ... at this point, I just want to know that they made a decision, regardless of what that might be.
  3. I did email and call Veronica Stallings, but I haven't received a response yet. I'll try again today, I suppose. Thanks for your help guys!
  4. Still waiting on UNC for a decision for the Biostatistics MS program. I've both emailed and left a message with the contact they list, but I haven't heard back. Does anyone have any information about them? I've gotta make a decision soon.
  5. I was accepted to both of these programs as an MS student. I was wondering if anyone had any experience/knowledge about these programs (size, rigor, course offerings, placements) or if anyone knew someone who might let me ask a few questions through email about the programs. I'm trying to make the most informed decision about where I'll end up next fall.
  6. UPenn biostats seems to be releasing decisions; I received mine yesterday. Hope that helps!
  7. My application was submitted through SOPHAS in mid-December.
  8. Got into Columbia just now for Biostatistics MS. No mention of funding, but that's not really surprising to me. Pretty excited though, it's my first admission ! (:
  9. 6tZSoKE3FTnq, mind telling me where you applied? Yeah I'm really hoping that the no news is good news thing turns out to be true.
  10. Anyone else hear back yet for decisions? Still nothing on my end, unfortunately.
  11. We have similar stats and goals and I feel the same way. One good thing is that I read somewhere that it's good you haven't heard from UW yet, as they're sending a lot of rejections out in late January. I also applied to UNC, Berkley, and Columbia and haven't heard back so hopefully that means something good for both of us !
  12. How did UNC contact you? I heard from JHU in December and UW today, both rejections. I'm waiting on UNC, UPenn, Columbia, Berkeley and Harvard.
  13. Alright this is what I had assumed, so it's nice to have my ideas confirmed. Thanks for the info!
  14. Does anyone know the time frame for hearing back about MS decisions? I'm seeing a lot of PhD replies on the results board for biostatistics but I can't really figure out if decisions go out at the same time as PhD ones or if it happens kind of randomly. Thanks for the help!
  15. I applied to all masters programs which is different than the rest of you, but I was notified fairly early on (mid-late December) by postal mail that Hopkins had rejected me. Not sure if that helps, but there you go.
