For the IUC program you can apply for the first or second year, however, you will be competing against 1st and 2nd year interns for the spots available. I believe CALSWEC is more of a one time deal since the first year you will be placed in a private non-profit organization serving child welfare clients, and the second year you will either be placed with DCFS or public child welfare agency
I have a friend that goes to CSULB and was recently awarded with the IUC stipend program, and she is already undergoing the process with human resources. It took 3 weeks for CSULB to contact her in regards to becoming an recipient of the IUC prgram. Did they give you a specific time frame? Either way, they will let you know if you will receive the stipend or not, via email
I know right? I shouldn't have mentioned the PPS in my PS, haha, Oh well. Congrats to everyone, and don't lose hope, I know the waiting process can be stressful!
May I ask what your stats are and what is your major concentration? What is the class size of csulb, I didn't know about csuf until after the deadline, otherwise I would've applied. Congrats!
I know csuf is supposed to contact you by email for an interview and when you interview, the deliberate on the spot if you get accepted. My coworker just got accepted 3 weeks ago.
i turned in my app in the day before the deadline. My cumm GPA is a 3.57 and my major BSW Gpa is a 3.71. I have a year experience in interning with DCFS in my undergrad. I am currently an intern for a dual agency for domestic violence and sexual assault. I have about 1.5 years experience, and i'm 23 years old. I recently got my certification in domestic violence. I am also bi-cultural and speak vietnamese.
When I spoke to them about my transferring over to advanced standing on campus sometime in January, they told me they haven't started reviewing applications. I have not heard of anyone being rejected at USC, my former colleague got in with a 2.9 gpa.
