I know someone who was interviewed for Portland State some years ago and got wait listed....then was contacted IN JULY with an acceptance! Isn't that nuts. At that point, wouldn't the majority of people have moved on or be going to another school in August?

I would like to say you're just freaking out...but I've been through a sort of mini hell because of bureaucratic stuff like that. I'm setting my expectations low so I'm not too disappointed. In an ideal world, it'd be about the art work.

It does seem bogus...but that's the picture I'm getting: that small technicalities are ways to weed out applicants. Sad. Somethings are beyond our control.

I think that's a rude way for them to let you know...considering all the work (and $$$) you put into applying.

I feel your pain. My boss actually asked me to go home early today as he could see I was in such turmoil over this.

Don't count yourself out. That may mean they just straight up accepted you? Do they interview everyone? I imagine they don't interview people they really know they want, like, perhaps you!

They contacted me recently for an interview. I suppose timing also depends on what department you applied to.
