I was notified by email last night but did not request an urgent notification..haven't been in touch with them whatsoever. But fingers crossed that some had, and that some of you will hear soon.

I actually received the email at my yahoo account, vs my MIT account..that's why I didn't see it right away..... still a bit shocked.

Amazed and elated. Didn't get an email but saw my name on the 2009 list. Congrats to all. To those still waiting -- good luck!!!! AND -- to those who didn't get it..you're still rock stars. Don't let this define the rest of the semester. Keep trucking. There are many other opportunities, even if it doesn't seem like it now. Best wishes to all.

Hey guys, I know how you feel. I'm sorry. But cheer up..your life will be filled with many ups to balance this down. Def **do not** start feeling sorry for yourself by judging your worth/scholarly potential/intellectual contributions by whether or not you get this thing. I know its disappointing..so be disappointed, but then pull your head up.

I'm in Urban Planning / Sociology. Thanks alot. It's great news.. I'm married with 2 young kids, so I was really hoping for this.
