  1. Definitely! If you make one, let us know when it's up so we can join
  2. Does anyone have any info. on when we should hear back about the CLEA? I know I've read details somewhere, but now I can't seem to find it!
  3. Ура!!!!!!! ETA to Russia!!!!!!!! Can't even process this, I hope the suspense ends for everyone else soon too!!!!!!
  4. Oh God! I wish they'd at least be a little more specific so we had some idea when to expect the news!
  5. I'm waiting to hear about an ETA in Russia, but I have some information for those who were selected as alternates for ETAs in Germany/Austria. My sister and several German studies classmates applied for assistantships in both countries (something only Austria allows you to do) and several of them were informed this week that they are being offered grants from BOTH countries! In years past this apparently did not happen but for whatever reason they now have their pick. I just thought I would pass this along because once they make their final decisions there will obviously be spots opening up, and since there are several students just at her school alone who are in that position I thought it might give some of the alternates out there hope! Good luck all! Hope the suspense ends soon...
  6. I graduated last spring ('12). I had my interview with Marina rather than Oksana, but you were right, it wasn't nearly as stressful as I'd anticipated. I just wish we knew how many finalists there are/what are chances are now for Russia. Best of luck to you!
  7. I applied to for a Russian ETA and have my interview this Sunday night. I'm so nervous! A few weeks ago I found a forum on the website "reddit" that offered advice from past ETA participants in Russia. It's a long thread but if you search "interview" they offer at least a little insight into the types of things they were asked! http://www.neckbeard.ca/r/IAmA/comments/15bxfo/iama_group_of_fulbright_fellows_living_teaching/ Are you (and any other Russian ETA applicants) doing your interview on the phone or via skype? I chose phone because I figured it would be easier to come across confident (and to have notes in front of me). I've taken four years of college level Russian but I am still not very confident conversationally and so this is definitely the most nerve wracking part of the process for me.
