checking status of application

So I emailed DGS at rutgers last week asking about the status on my application.

He replied, saying:

"I'll be meeting with the admissions committee later this weekto finalize our first round domestic student offers.

I'll have more information for you on Friday; please write

back then."

Should I actually write back on Friday (tomorrow)? Assuming I don't make the first round, I don't want to be seem too impatient and annoy them.

Well if he told you to write back, I don't think it would hurt. However, I think they would probably tell you as soon as they know, so maybe you'd be better off just relaxing (as hard as it is lol). And I was accepted there for art history last week, the department emailed me when they decided but there was no decision up on the official status check page for a while after that.
