Liz! Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Is anyone going to Florida State in the Fall? I just graduated from there, if you have any questions, let me know! -Liz
jhmoss1812 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 (edited) Hey Steffanie, Congrats on going to FSU in the Fall. I just accepted an offer for the PhD program in social psychology. I can't wait to get to Tallahassee. I visited for interview weekend and really liked the small town feel that it had considering it's the capital city. I'm going to start look for housing soon but I've heard that it's cheaper closer to campus but also you'll be surrounded by more partying undergrads. I'm probably gonna look more at the outskirts of town which are a little more expensive but more conducive to the lifestyle I will want/need. Edited March 8, 2010 by jhmoss1812
Aunuwyn Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Accepted to the Doctoral program in Political Science there. Am going to visit in the first week of April.
sgtbuster Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I'll be heading there in August in the Master's of Science in Planning program. Very excited!
ironage Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I'll be attending FSU's school psychology program in the fall, but I have no idea about what I want to do living situation-wise. Is everyone planning on living alone, with other people in their cohort, or people outside of it?
Scbrunt Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I'll be attending the PhD program for physics starting this August. I'm really excited to move to Tallahassee but am also trying to figure out housing. It seems like its easier to find nice places that had 2+ bedrooms and are relatively close to campus. What is everyone planning on doing?
astroturf Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 My husband and I will both be attending FSU this fall! We're both really excited to be attending. As far as housing, people in our department have advised against living too close to campus. We found a place about two miles off near the region we were told most of the graduate students in our field live.

Has it gotten better? What streets are good for bikepaths? Thanks
