Jung@Heart Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 (edited) Had an interview via skype with my POI. Although I probably talked too much it went very well. He filled me in regarding all of the research that I would potentially be a part of, gave detailed funding info, told me that hed reviewed all of my paperwork and told me that basically the decision was his to make. He said hed get back to me late next week letting me know either way. In two days it will be going on three weeks since the interview. I sent him a thank you email the following day but I'm obviously not going to contact him again until I hear something. I'm staying patient and positive but at three weeks I'm unsure whether the delay is good, bad or ugly. In my opinion it would be hard for me to find a better fit as he came off as a very cool guy, the research interest is a big match and I feel that I could learn a lot working with him. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Edited March 2, 2018 by Jung@Heart
fuzzylogician Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 After three weeks it seems to me that you actually could write him to ask for an update. I'd do it, if I were you. I'd personally much rather know that it's a 'no' than to stay in the dark. Or if there's an actual delay, that'd be good to know, too. Good luck!
