speckle
I have a question and I feel very foolish. I thought I had registered for an admitted student day tomorrow, and have flown on a plane and bought a hotel room in a city about 6 hours from my home. Only now, I am unable to find any confirmation of my registration in my inbox, and I'm beginning to worry that I didn't press submit on the registration form, or it didn't go through. If for some reason I am not registered, will they still let me in? I've never been to one of these before so I wasn't sure what to expect.
ccs2010
Hi Speckle. I would not worry too much about it. My guess is that official registration is used mostly to have an idea of the amount of participants they can expect and make appropriate arrangements like food, venues, name tags, etc. I would email someone from the school to let them know you will be around. I would find it very weird if they don't let you participate, you are an admitted student after all!
apply2017
Hey, although I dont know which school you are at, I went to one admit student day (Harris, UChicago) and they were the nicest people. You might not have a name tag ready for you but I am pretty sure they will be happy to accommodate you into the program. thismustbetheplace
thismustbetheplace
Hope it worked out! They accepted you and invited you to admitted students day so I'm sure that they're happy to have you, especially if you sincerely tried to register. I would take it as a red flag if they turn you away, personally
