Is an M.S. in Biostatistics worth it without funding?

Recommended Posts

Hey, not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I was recently accepted to the University of Michigan's M.S. in Biostats with no funding. It seems to be a well-regarded program but I'm a bit nervous about paying for it out of pocket, although the tuition would be in-state and they mentioned there could be funding opportunities in the second year. Has anyone else taken an M.S. at a top school with no funding, and did it work out for them job-wise?

Thank you.
