Did anyone apply to this program? I got an admission letter yesterday with a full ride, which is still pretty unbelievable to me. Getting this makes me sadder for not getting any aid from Columbia which is my dream school. Do people here know about this program, its reputation, future opportunities etc?

Hi, Congrats on the full ride! I applied to Fordham's IPED program and I'm anxious to hear back. It's the first program I applied to and the last one to respond, which is getting frustrating. Mind me asking which fellowship/scholarship you received? Did you receive an email letter or snail mail?

I've heard pros/cons about the program, depending on what you want, I suppose. The cohort is small (about 25 students) and so it becomes a tight-knit community. Fordham has a strong relationship with Catholic Relief Services, so definitely a pro if that's an organization you're interested in working for after graduate school. I've heard that it is very Econ heavy. I spoke to a recent alum who says that Fordham really takes care of their students. And they have opportunities to apply for scholarships for language training in between semesters.  In terms of reputation, however, Fordham as a school is not as widely known or as recognized compared to SAIS, MALD, SIPA.

What are your main aspects on deciding on which grad school to go to? TBH, I'm having difficulty weighing my options and I'm not sure if others are in the same boat. Difficult to discern, though, when I'm still waiting to hear back from Fordham.

Hey, I got the result via email and eventually snail mail.

Yeah I don't mind that it's econ heavy - I have an econ background and generally feel that having those technical skills serve you well no matter the career path.

My biggest hesitation at this point is the recognition. I am an international student so I know for sure that the college is not recognized outside of the US. Having said that however, I am just not willing to spend $100k+ on a degree that is not guaranteed to get me a job in which I earn that amount straight out of college.

You are definitely not alone. I am having tons of stress and anxiety over this decision, in many ways it is more stressful than the application period since there is real money involved that has the potential to change the trajectory of your life. My main aspects are money, prestige and location. With Fordham I am getting two of these (no costs + NYC) but not prestige - hence I am still stuck.

Have you heard back from them yet?

Yes, I'm an international student as well. I have worked 4 years in finance and excited to attend this program. I think studying in NYC provides a better opportunity post graduate, what are you considering?
