Admitted but still waiting for funding decision?

Hi every one, I received an unofficial acceptance via email back in end January, and I was told that they were still at the stage of finalizing funding decisions. But I still haven't heard back from them, and I'm getting really worried about it. Anyone encountering the same situation as me too?

In other news, approximately by when will the official letter of acceptance (by postal) arrive? Does it follow right after the email acceptance, or much later?

Don't worry lambchop - I'm in a similar position.

I received official acceptance, but was told funding would follow about a month and a half later. Stick with it! It depends on each school as far as postal mail acceptance. I've seen schools, i.e. UCR, not follow up by postal and use email as the sole form of communication.

Best of luck!

As always, it depends on the school.

Since it's been a month, I think you should just contact the professor who sent you the acceptance email and ask when the funding decisions and official notifications will be sent out. If they don't know, maybe they can find out for you. They should have a vested interest in helping you, now that you have been admitted, because they want you to choose their offer over your other options.
