Are all acceptances sent out in one go?

So I've applied to several schools that have an announced acceptance response of march or april, but checking thegradcafe's results board,

some people have already heard from these schools with a firm yes or an interview....

Does this mean I can write these schools off as a rejection?

Some of them (berkeley, upenn) had interview dates announced during the application process, so I'm guessing these are a firm no...(or do they just

enjoy drawing it out slowly until you get a reject letter in late april?!?)

The others I didn't even know did interviews: are these a firm no too, or is there a chance of being waitlisted?

Do the schools send out all the acceptances at the same time, or do they have top-choice students they admit, and then others they consider more slowly?

Well, I hope they don't. Because someone just posted that they received an acceptance email from one of my programs, and I didn't get anything.

I sincerely doubt that they are. I know my department has sent out some acceptances but not all (they still need to deliberate as a committee on files).
