Deciding between master's programs in Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction

I applied to master's programs mainly to boost my GPA before applying for PhDs in cognitive psychology. I'm trying to decide between a master's in human computer interaction and a master's in general psychology (I have been admitted to both). I'm strongly leaning towards the HCI program because I'm really interested in the field and how it incorporates cognitive psych, but am concerned that cognitive psych PhD programs won't admit me because the research and coursework I would do in the program would not be pure psych/cognitive psych courses.

My undergraduate major was psychology and I have research experience in cognitive psych. Would the HCI master's program allow me to go on to cognitive psych PhDs? Or would the general psychology master's be the better choice (or would either be okay)? Thanks in advance!
