SUNY Buffalo State Housing!

Hi,

I just got accepted to SUNY Buffalo State and have never been to the area before, and looking for more information on the area and best places to rent an apartment for a reasonable price, and safe neighborhood??

You can also email your dept asking to speak to a grad student. I'm going to University at Buffalo , so I encountered the same thing!

You may want to consider the the following:

1. Public transportation- do you plan on driving to campus everyday or do need to be accessible to public transit? Also the duration of your commute everyday

2.  Do you want to live alone or with roommates?

3. What amenities do you prioritize? ie- parking? laundry?

I will be going there as well, do you know how to make a facebook group? I'm trying to figure out housing/roomates etc.

No I don’t, I was looking for one to see if anyone started one and can’t find anything. I’m in the same boat though trying to figure out living situation, and if off or on campus living would be better

There are so many places to live off campus in buffalo because there are so many colleges around here! My advice would be off campus(if you have a car) because it’s probably cheaper and more quiet. I’ll try making a group again tonight and hopefully I’ll have more success. Are you coming from far away?

Ok cool I added it! That’s what I’m thinking I have a car and I’m bringing it so I can get around. I’m from Michigan about 4 hours away. I just wanna find somewhere affordable, I’m gonna try to work part time hopefully we’ll see how it goes lol.
