jascms Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) Does anyone have any experience taking pre-reqs through a different university while completing an undergrad degree? Here's my situation: I am a sophomore at SUNY Geneseo and I am a psychology major with a linguistics minor. I would like to go to grad school for speech but unfortunately Geneseo does not offer a speech undergrad program. I'm planning on taking a pre-req (Intro to Communication Disorders) through SUNY New Paltz this summer. This won't count as anything at Geneseo as there's no equivalent, but I'm trying to reduce the amount of classes I will need to take for post-bacc. So because I'm still in undergrad it's not part of the post-bacc program, it's basically me just taking the class. I'm probably overthinking things as I don't see any reason why this wouldn't satisfy a requirement (New Paltz is accredited), but has anyone done this? Know if its OK? I don't want to waste time/money. Edited May 1, 2018 by jascms

I've taken pre-reqs at a few different schools and it was fine.
