When Should I call about Application status?

I know I have been accepted to 4 and am waiting to hear on 3 others. When should I call about my application status of the 3 I have not heard from? I don't want to be pushy and call too early. When do you guys think is acceptable to start calling?

15 March... one full month from the 15 April deadline sounds like a reasonable time to inquire. Do so only once, ask a very specific question but don't expect any specific information or answers.

Yeah, I'm thinking if I don't hear anything from schools by April, I should see what's up. While I do have 4 acceptances and they are nice, the money is what I need, so I need to find out about that, too.

What are you guys doing about the schools that have accepted you? Are you ignoring them until you hear back?

I visited some prior to acceptance (on my own dime), and have acknowledged the acceptance... but there's not much else to do. I've had a few phone interviews, but those were initiated by the school.

I also read and read and try to mentally place myself in the school, then write down questions based on this exercise. I'll probably send a round of questions before making a decision.

It's hard to really do anything about the schools I've been accepted seeing as there is no word on money. I've acknowledged the acceptance, but am hoping for money.
