Until he asked "so where else did you apply to?" ... I replied " <insert unis here> but its been disastrous so far" ... he then laughed. Do you think I might have just screwed up my chances???? It's so easy to pick apart everything you said after a phone interview, and mine always left me wanting more (so to speak... ). Don't worry about it, it sounds like the interview went really well, and I'm sure they read your comment as only to do with the stress of applying. Massive good luck for hearing back!
