I believe Harvard notified admitted applicants on 2/14. I was waitlisted on 2/15. I do not believe Yale has notified. In past years, they notified around the 25th. Good luck! (And if you hear, please post - there aren't too many of us around! I'll do the same.)

There are few programs offering PhDs in AA studies and a dearth of information regarding their relative merits. The only ranking of these programs that I am aware of is Academic Analytics. I would like to know if anyone has a general idea of the relative quality of these programs, not only in prominent faculty, but in training graduate students, research opportunities and placement, etc.

I notice that Harvard and Northwestern do not list their recent graduate placements as this may be due to the fact that their graduate programs are relatively new, yet Yale and Berkeley post their recent placements. I just want to get a general sense of which of these programs is truly the best without relying solely on faculty reputation(this obviously dependent upon which field of study one wishes to explore and pursue). Thanks :)
