imean Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I'm taking a class this semester which turned out to be very different than I expected and I'm not doing well on it. I don't need it for anything, not even credits, and am considering dropping it. Problem is, I'll get a W in my transcript. Do you think a school will retract their admission offer if I have a W on my final transcript? It would be my only W in all of my college career. Opinions?
ScreamingHairyArmadillo Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 As I stated in another thread: no. There is no fine print that says if you drop a class that doesn't matter they will take back their offer. No worries!
digits2006 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 No this will not cause any problems. I have two Ws on my transcript and im wait listed at 2 PhD programs and accepted at a MA program.
johndiligent Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I doubt it'll make a difference at this point, unless it affects your ability to graduate or fulfill requirements or prerequisites, which I assume it would not.
rising_star Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Will dropping the class cause you to not earn your diploma? If you will still graduate, then it doesn't matter whether you stay in the course or not.
