alaslesenfants Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Fun topic! My go-tos are Donald Preziosi's "The History of Art History" and maybe the big October "Art since 1900."
policysecond Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I'm interested in war photography (and photography history in general), so Classic Essays on Photography, edited by Alan Trachtenberg, was a must-have. As was The Photography Reader, edited by Liz Wells. Great essay compilations in each.
