intelly Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I realize that probably not many people on here are applying to these schools, but they're my last 2 I'm waiting on before I make my decision, so I thought this would make my life 100x easier to just have a separate post, as opposed to sifting through the main acceptance thread. So----has anyone heard anything from Pacific Northwest College of Art and/or Kendall College of Art and Design (it's part of Ferris State University in Michigan) Does anyone know anything about these schools at all? I've never been to either of the campuses. I met admissions people at a National Portfolio Day in Chicago, and they both seemed like really good fits for me, but I would love to hear from anyone that's been there. my decision is between these 2 and one I've already been accepted to (Northern Illinois University), so I'm getting antsy.
nathancotephoto Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) I visited PNCA. I liked the campus and portland is wonderful. The program wasn't for me. It was too liberal in its structure, meaning I wanted to be surrounded by more photographers and less interdisciplinary artists. The program stresses interdisciplinary work or at least that is what i got from it. The studios are pretty nice and ample facilities for most concentrations. I visited last year and it was going to be their first year offering a MFA. The head of the department was really open, honest and experienced. Her work was also really great! I just cant recall her name. If you have any other questions(I did get a tour and had a friend who attended the school) PM me. Edited March 16, 2010 by nathancotephoto
