Sara1094 Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 I have noticed that some Clinical Psychology PhD programs say to include three recommendation letters from academic persons. I planned on including two professors from my undergrad and my boss who is a neuropsychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I cannot imagine not including my boss who I have worked for doing cognitive testing and clinical interviews, all work very relevant to entering a clinical program. Would he be included in the academic persons category? Should I include his letter regardless? Please help! Thanks in advance!

FWIW: I am studying clinical psych with a neuropsych focus now and has my clinical supervisor for one of my neuro internships in college write a letter, paired with two research mentors. Sara1094 1
RidiculousResearcher Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 One of my mentors told me it would look strange to an admissions committee if you are currently employed somewhere clinical and you don't get a letter from your supervisor. And in your case, it's certainly pertinent! Sara1094 1
