Accepted at Georgetown with lackluster funding

My friend just got accepted into SFS's Masters of Arab Studies program. They're giving her 20K in aid with the expectation that she come up with 50K a year on her own. What should she do? What did you do? Are private loans the only option?

I would like to necro this topic, since this may become an issue for me if I don't receive funding. Does anyone have advice on what to do if you don't get any scholarships, fellowships, scholarships, or other offers?

Yep, I'm in the same boat; I'd probably have to get BUTT-NAKED like Lindsay Lohan to pay for my study. So loans and a cheaper school for me. Instead of doing an expensive 2-year program at SAIS, I'm leaning toward a good 16-month program at Maxwell even though it would probably be real nice hanging out in DC.
