who's heard back from ucla?

a current student there in the i.d. department told me that they've already made their final decisions for this year's applicants, but i haven't heard back anything from them by email or on their site--where it says simply that "no decision has been made on the status of your application".

i've called the department a couple of times because at this point i'm not even sure if they got my whole application (you have to mail part of it in), but all i get is caron cronin's answering machine.

so, if you've heard back, please tell me how you heard back? phone, email, regular post? and when? and to what program? i am applying in interdisciplinary studies.

I applied to New Genres, I think. I got my rejection email on 3/16. Up until then, the online status page just said no decision has been made yet, and it also said they hadn't received the majority of my materials (I think they don't bother to update that part of the website).

finally got ms. cronin on the phone, was put on hold, endlessly, then it ended, and i was told that they never even received my application, and therefore i wasn't even considered. just as i feared.

Were you able to call sketchbook? I'm now paranoid they didn't get my application either despite the self addressed post card they requested being signed, stamped and returned to me. Ugh.
