Personal Statement vs. Academic Statement

I'm working on my application materials and I already had a draft of sop. however, some schools require submit both personal statement and academic statement. I'm wondering what I should focus on both statements. should I include my research and working experience in personal statement while focusing on gradute study plans and research interest in academic statement?
