Joseph or Joe Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Here's my quick and dirty resume: School: Graduated from top ten US engineering school two years ago. GPA: 2.4 Math GPA: 3.5 Current job: Risk Analyst position for 1 year GRE: 161 english, 170 quantitative Also, I'm 3/3 in Actuarial Tests, although I wasn't able to land an actuarial job. I want to get back to what I love most: math. So, I'm trying to decide among my three best options: 1. Go all out for late fall admission or 2020 spring admission. I'd like to at least get into a top 100 (or top 75) program. 2. Quit my job, find a part-time job and study for the GRE math subject test (it's been two years, so I'll need to relearn calc, linear alg, etc. before graduate school anyway). If I do well, I may prove my capabilities and persistence enough to smother my shitty GPA. 3. Enter math masters program and hope to extend degree to PHD. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
