Johndg1974 Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Hello all. I am in a bit of an awkward position in applying to PhD programs. I have a Master's and a partial PhD and tons of research experience. I had to leave my PhD program because my adviser basically ran out of money. I have already met with one program and they have encouraged my to apply, and I will. One professor will allow me to work on my past PhD project in his lab. I think I will get into this program. However, I would like to apply to a few more schools. I have 2 things that I am looking for: Programs with app deadlines that are later i.e. Feb 15th or later Programs where admissions is contingent upon securing an adviser first (this is how I got into my past PhD program). My interest are broad and flexible and revolve around molecular biology Stats: My Master's g.p.a. is 3.2 Q (750) V (520) W (4.0) I will have to take this again if the GRE is required. The program I'm petty sure I get into doesn't even require the GRE 3 strong letters of reference I'm a strong writer, so my SOP will always help 17 years of research experience panning multiple labs and disciplines Schools I will apply to: Medical University of South Carolina University of Alabama Iowa State University of Arkansas University of Wyoming If anyone has any advice as to programs, please add to the list. Thanks!
