Question

Hello everyone,

Recently, a POI, who contacted me after an interview, told me that he nominated me for a fellowship and put in an official offer (however, he mentioned that the uni will send out official letters in a couple of weeks). Does that mean that I am in? I thought that only the admissions office can guarantee an offer.

Thanks in advance

Barring any salacious information that the admissions office can dig up on you making you ineligible, you can pretty much count yourself as accepted (maybe like a 95% chance).

Thank you for your answer. I was just curious, because the professor told me that "you should see an offer from our side soon".
