Do I need to email the professor for a research master program in Germany?

Hi, I am interested in applying to the neuroscience master in Germany,which are all two-year international program taught in English(4 semesters). The first 18 months, they take courses. The later 6 months, they are required to finish a research thesis.  I am not sure if emailing the professor will boost my chance of getting into this type of program. It would be great if you can help me a little bit.

Do you have any specific questions to ask this professor? Something about their current research or anything like that? I would never email someone just for the sake of emailing them, but if you have a specific question in mind it wouldn't hurt your chances (although I don't know how much it will necessarily help).

Yeah, I do not have any question but will try to find some if this would be helpful.
