poutinead Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Has anyone on this message board heard from the Munk School (MGA)? I have seen acceptances in February in previous years though the school's website indicates decisions are communicated typically in mid March.
Timbit Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Hi @poutinead, from what I understand, Munk rarely sends out acceptances this early. The first round of acceptances are often for the Munk-Sciences Po Dual Degree applicants, and then they do first round of regular MGA applicants. I think we have a good couple weeks ahead of us before hearing back.
poutinead Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 Thanks Timbit...like everybody else I am waiting on pins, needles and all sorts...
lily22 Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 I just posted this in the other Munk/government programs forums but I'll repost here -- I really wouldn't worry. I applied to Munk last year (waitlisted) and most folks on the forum did not hear back re: acceptances until between March 9th-12th. It was like one big sweeping forum post where everyone on the forum posted at the same time saying they had heard back. I got waitlisted on March 13th. There were very few people who heard earlier than that. When I asked the Program Coordinator at the time, she said that some people will hear back sporadically earlier for reasons she wouldn't divulge (I would assume super early applicants, or international students), but that the majority of acceptances will go out at the same time. I can expect it to be around the same timeline this year, as they switched it from 2 years ago. Admission used to be sent out in late February, but now they are early to mid March (e.g. between March 8th and March 15th).
