ticktick Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I was admitted to a program and offered funding to go visit the campus. I have never been to the area so scouting the city is just as important to me as visiting with faculty, students, etc. I want to bring my spouse with me. I am planning to book my flight and hotel with the school's help and then book my spouse's flight on our own. Is this typical? Should I tell them that my spouse is coming as well? Just want to make sure I navigate this well.
PsyDuck90 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I don't think it's a problem to bring your spouse to the city. You were admitted and therefore most likely moving there. This affects your spouse's life just as much as it does yours. It's up to you if you'd like to disclose this information, but any program that frowns upon that probably has a few other red flags too.
