northeastern waitlists

i see some northeastern waitlist activity today. i spoke to the DGS and she said we'd be hearing by e-mail very soon. anyone have any info about more accepts/waitlists? i was in boston this weekend and got bit by the boston bug very badly and want to attend school there, if possible.

no i did not. but i also can't afford to be waitlisted actually. i have to give an answer to my best offer by next week. eeek :X here's to hoping for good news soon!

Hi! I can claim one of the Northeastern waitlist spots. They said they would know whether I am accepted or rejected in the next 10-14 days. I just received the email this afternoon. Hope this helps!

This is my fourth waitlist. Looks like I'm not going to be making a decision until the night of April 14th...

muffinlit, i got an email inviting me to apply to the MA rejected from the PhD though.

And what does that even mean-- please apply for the MA, does that mean you're a shoe-in? These people are so frustrating!

And I still haven't heard from Temple yet, which is absolutely annoying-- did they give you any info. in their acceptance letter?

yeah i don't know? i would think i'd get in for certain since i got into the NYU MA but then again I also got rejected from the UConn MA. no clue. anyways i called the office and asked about the max funding and they said it would be full tuition. so i threw my name into the pool just to see but will likely not go because i have a better offer. i got official emails from temple today (after the letter about 2 1/2 weeks ago), but like i said they offered me no fin aid as the DGS confirmed today. email alan singer @ temple and i would email melissa daigle @ northeastern. she's pretty helpful as well.

I'm also wait listed (sorry I haven't been on the forum much of late). I just saw an acceptance go up. Anybody claiming? Also, any info on how many are being accepted off the wait list?

Well, I got accepted into the MA program too (applied to PhD), and my letter said a scholarship might be possible (tuition waiver) but not an assistantship position. Does anyone know more about this? I haven't received any more info. about this, and could not afford NU without a tuition waiver. Have yet to turn down my MA offer, though, as I'd consider attending if tuition was waived.
