slp2b91 Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 Has anyone made plans to attend Northwestern already? Is there a facebook page?
14SLP14 Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 Really want to accept my offer here too but the cost is making me nervous. Any advice on how you decided?
slp2b91 Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 Sorry, it didn't notify me that anyone responded. Honestly, I visited a lot of programs and none of them really stood out to me like Northwestern did! I just loved the feeling I got from the open house and every student I spoke to seemed to love it. The cost is scary, for sure, and there are plenty of amazing low cost programs out there, but I just felt I should listen to my gut!
futurespeechpath1 Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I'm currently a junior and thinking of applying here next year! Do you guys mind me asking what your stats are? I currently have a 3.5 almost a 3.6 and I know this is a very competitive school.

The clinic was jaw dropping and the campus is gorgeous! The faculty is also amazing too! I just don't want to be in debt for so long! I'll have to listen to my gut too

I was worried my GRE was a little low compared to their stats but I'm also in 2 research labs and work at a private practice. I know everyone says this but I would really recommend taking the summer to study a lot for the GRE. I slacked on studying originally and ended up taking it twice. When I studied a little bit every day for my second go at it, I went up 5 points! The magoosh vocab app was my favorite thing for that!!

I wish my GPA was higher but I have a lot of volunteer stuff/leadership experience so I'm hoping it all balances out Edited April 9, 2019 by futurespeechpath1 typo 14SLP14 1
