MPH from INDIA - Johns Hopkins University (IIHMR)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Looking for some help here. Johns Hopkins University offers MPH program in India with collaboration with IIHMR (Indian Institute of Health Management Research). How do I find out if someone who does the degree from there, it will be valid and accepted here? I spoke to IIHMR directly and they mentioned that the degree is offered by Johns Hopkins University directly and it is conferred in India. The degree will mention that it was done in collaboration with IIHMR. What is the best way to go about finding if the degree is valid in Canada and what do you think the prospects are? Here is the degree template that they sent me which will be conferred, which is attached. Thanks and let me know!

A- if they are offering in India than it has a limited validity. Because imagine why would a university offer (that too highly competitive apparently) outside its own mother campus? Couple years back Nirma university provided PharmD courses which are no longer valid in states. In terms of Canada, they would basically look for people who have exposure outside home country while studying. (Not 100% sure but speaking experience wise)

B- You might want to check what is the accreditation of the program? In states, the university is CEPH accredited. What is the program in India accredited with? Just so you know JHU is expensive so you might as well consider the tuition factor before enrolling. Invest wise!
