Registered_Degenerate Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 About me- Stats: 3.90 GPA, 4.0 major GPA (literature track). Volunteer grant writing experience for a non-profit. Writing Center adviser. Federal law enforcement work experience. Senior honors program Thesis paper (decent writing sample, although I am currently expanding and editing it). I am interested in top Masters programs. What GRE score should I aim for?
WildeThing Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 You should aim to do as well as you can...? That's both a very difficult and very simple question. GRE importance varies by school, department, and program. We have no definitive information about every program in regards to what a safe GRE range would be, or exactly how each score is taken into account. Generally, in English, Verbal should be your focus, then Analytical, then Quantitative, and it seems that Verbal is usually quite a bit more important than the other two.
