As the only place for me to ask about nutritional profession, I was wondering if you guyz could give me some advice about becoming a nutrition(sports) specialist. For a start, I have a bachelor's degree in genetic engineering and worked a little in a field that has nothing to do with my major. I figured I have a passion for nutrition and wanted to study again and came to America right away. Recently I am preparing for graduate school and I need some advice on choosing an appropriate lab or major for a nutritional background. My major goal is to categorize the human constitution by physical body type, microbiome, etc., and provide a proper regimen to prevent chronic disease. I thought I would need deeper understandings about physiology and microbiomes but yet did not figure out where to start. If you guyz can give me advice of any kind, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!
