Quick GRE Question

Hi folks,

I took the GRE my junior year of undergrad in early February 2018, intending to enter graduate school in the fall of 2020. I know the score lasts five years, so the score itself should be okay until June 30, 2023.

I recently heard someone say that while the score lasts for five years, graduate programs do not want scores that are more than 3 years old, or that they discount them in some way. Perhaps for other graduate programs? Or subject tests? I am merely wondering if anyone has heard similar chatter, or if having a 3+-year-old GRE score has carried any baggage for anyone in the admissions process.

Thank you in advance!
