Purdue University Mechanical Engineering Graduate student. Applying for environmental engineering PhD (FALL 2020) at UC Berkely, MIT, UIUC, RICE, YALE, GAtech, Vtech, UT Austin, UW , CMU, TAMU and  UC boulder. GPA 3.7/4, GRE V152 Q166, 5 conference publications (4 1st author), 4 conference presentations, US Patent, 2 journal publications (1st author) and Reviewer for ASME IMECE. I honestly want an opinion on my profile because i was rejected by a lot of colleges last time without my publications and patent which happened in the past year. Thank you.

It's ok, you should be competitive for at a least a few of those programs. However not everything can be deduced from resume. SOP, recommendations and how you present your research and research aptitude are just as important, if not more.

My recommendations are solid and working to make my SOP better which is the most important aspect I guess. Thanks though.
