Applying for MA program with unrelated academic/profession background

Hello,

So I am looking into MA programs in Philosophy. It seems that a lot of school require to have some related background either/both in academic and work experiences.

Unfortunately my bachelor's degree is in retail merchandising and I worked about 4~ 5 years in Finance. Though Philosophy/Ethics has been my passion since... very young, I could not think of actually doing a degree in it. But after all these years, now I would really like to pursue my dream and would love to work in Ethics field.

There are some school that doesn't require such background but candidates with related background are surely preferred.

Do any of you believe that I have a chance to be admitted? I am applying for schools mostly in EU.

And if there's anyone that has been in similar situation with mine, how did you work your way out while writing your SOP, Letter of Intents and so forth..?

Help me please! :(
