robert_and_richard
Folks. I am in a bit of pickle. Currently I am finishing up a Econ master in US. It is designed as a stepping stone towards a PhD. Therefore, it is not easy to find a job with it as an international student. Unfortunately, my chronic pain worsened over the last year. So, I don't think I can survive a PhD program. I am looking at US and Canada statistics masters that will help me find a job. My primary goal is to stay in a western country, because the difference in medical care is just too great. I will have a better chance of curing my chronic condition here than going back. 1. How does statistics admission view econ students? 2. Will I have a chance at top masters? 3. How is the job market for statistics masters in US or Canada? I know I am in a very unique situation. So any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much.
