Theoretical neuro SOP review

Hi everyone! I'm applying to neuroscience PhD programs, and I was wondering if someone could take a look at my statement of purpose and give me any tips. This is an early draft, and it's too long for what some of the schools require so any advice on how to best shorten it would be great. I tailored this copy for the NYU program, and I'm planning to just swap the last paragraph for each program I'm applying to.

Looks great, in my opinion! I feel like you could maybe add a little more about your research background. And maybe a little more about why those particular PIs; a little more than saying their work fits your goals. Take my comment with a grain of salt, I am no expert at this; I just finished writing my mine.
