fualmu Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 I'm in a master's program right now (religion and the visual arts), but I'm starting to think about PhD applications, and I'm thinking about pursuing art history education. University of Arizona has a specific program that is for art history education specifically, so I'm considering that as an option, but I really like the programs and faculty in both art history and at the tc at Columbia. There's nothing on either of the sites saying that you can do a dual degree in another department, but I would like to maybe start with a dual master's and decide which field I would like to pursue a PhD while I'm there. Does anyone know if that is possible? (also going to post this in the art history forum)
Levon3 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 I don't know if it is possible, but you may want to ask some of your profs if it's advisable. I think those kind of degrees can be hard to market when you're looking for TT jobs later.
