vulcanaut Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Hey all! I got accepted into the English PhD at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I was wondering if anyone had an insight into the program? I'm very interested in the faculty and coursework, but I'm a little worried their program might not make me competitive enough when I'm looking for academic jobs in the future.
Valorship98 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 You should see what "The Professor Is In" says about this. From my research, it sounds like if the program isn't top 10 you might have a problem. Now for all I know you could be an incredibly brilliant scholar who is about to write the most important book of the decade. In that case, and if you believe this to be true, do your PhD at Louisiana.
