fl1992 Posted February 26, 2020 Share Posted February 26, 2020 was accepted into the analytics program at NC state a few weeks ago and today just got an offer from Cornell ORIE for the data analytics concentration, with a scholarship that brings the tuition cost pretty close to even for both programs. As an international applicant I don’t really have a feel for how much Ivy League brand recognition matters in this field.. both programs have similar placement/salary statistics, NCSU slightly higher on both and I suppose that’s probably concentrated in the south where cost of living is lower too. I’m coming from a finance background but trying to pivot out of that industry... not 100% sure what’s next.
