Hey! Who here got accepted to West Chester University?

Hi! I got accepted to West Chester. I want to know more about the program. I hear it is good if you want to work in schools but I have no interest in working in school settings. Have you heard anything about the program?

Hi, I got accepted but will most likely be declining because I have heard mixed opinions about West Chester's program

What have you heard negatively about the program?

Yeah! I went here for undergrad. I think I have also heard that it is good for school setting SLPs, but our clinic on campus works with all different ages. I know that this program is good for Spanish speaking SLPs, because there are not many programs that offer such courses.

I see... yeah my main reason for going is because I speak Spanish and WCU has one of the few Spanish programs in the country

I have heard some things about West Chester's graduate program being disorganized.  I am an SLPA and the SLP I worked with that attended WCU not too long ago told me not to apply there and that she did not receive much guidance from professors.  I heard good things about the undergraduate program... not sure how or why there would be a difference with organization and guidance from instructors.  I am considering West Chester as well but got a bad taste in my mouth when I heard different opinions.  On a different interview at another school, an undergraduate from WCU told me that many from the program did not even apply there.  Not sure if that is true but it is giving me different thoughts about my decision.
