jack998 Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 I am applying to EPFL EDIC 2021, anyone got interviews or any updates?
govs Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 I think a few people got interviews. Looking at the trends from the past 2-3 years, aren't the decisions supposed to come out by today?

govs Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 No, I don't have any email notification. I don't know the people who got the interviews, but two of them have posted in the results page for EPFL.

I don't remember seeing this before. They also say "On behalf of the Doctoral Program in Computer and Communication Sciences at EPFL, congratulations!". Given that I didn't hear anything so far, I hope that they made this page in advance of sending the decisions. ?

The image at the top was only added on Saturday. I all ~100 offers had been given out, we would have seen at least a couple of posts on the GradCafe results page. My guess is that they're about to release the acceptances, that's why they prepared this page (probably they will give link to it in the acceptance email). govs 1

I didn't see it in the page of Open House. Nervous about the result?.

Nervous about the result?. The infosession video here (see timestamp around 11minutes30seconds): https://www.epfl.ch/education/phd/edic-computer-and-communication-sciences/edic-computer-and-communication-sciences/edic-how-to-apply/ Also, "How does admittance work?" part mentions that about 40 fellowship were available. Most schools (even top ones like MIT) have around 50% yield rate, meaning that only half of the accepted people take the offer. So, if you have 40 slots, you give around 80 offers. Of course, yield rate is generally around 40% for top-but-slightly-lower-ranked schools (ie, places other than MIT/Stanford etc.). So, 40/.4 = 100 Edited January 18, 2021 by foreignboy
